REXBURG, Idaho — BYU-Idaho has a record 4,253 students attending its first eight-week term of the summer semester. This is a 38 percent increase from the record number of 3,093 students who attended last year at the same time. The growing summer enrollment is a result of the three-track system that is designed to increase the number of students who can attend BYU-Idaho during a full calendar year.
Upon admission, students are assigned to one of three tracks: the traditional fall-winter track, the summer-fall track and the winter-summer track. They typically will remain on the same track for the entire time they attend BYU-Idaho.
